Metrosphere
This project will stay on my site forever because it’s so dear to my heart. The year was 2015 and Laura took on her biggest challenge to date, creating a magazine (or three). She earned the opportunity of Editor in Chief and Metrosphere magazine was never the same again.
Metrosphere Arts & Literary Magazine is a Denver publication that features the creative endeavors of both students and alumni of the Auraria Campus.
As the Editor-in-Chief, I led a team of 5 dedicated individuals through a year of great success for the magazine and for our personal growth. Below is a taste of what we accomplished.
| Boss | Creative Direction | Publication Design | Digital Design | Marketing | Community Outreach | Management | Social Media | Print Production | Distribution |
METROFEAR- HALLOW'S EVE INSERT
Metrofear is a collection of original stories and artwork inspired by the urban legends surrounding the Auraria Campus. A collaboration of literary and artistic minds resulted in a small booklet filled with immense talent and creativity. Metrofear is easily one of my favorite pieces of work.
ISSUE 1 & 2
Issue 1 and 2 showcased up and coming creative minds and art and literary submissions. From the photography to the distribution– my staff and I made Metrosphere happen.
This photo wall was made by local artist to launch Metrosphere's Instagram and our first issue.
ISSUE 3
After collecting literary and art submissions all year, we had a wealth of amazing work to share with the public. We assembled a panel of respected judges and the highest ranking work was published in Issue 3. Metrosphere gave creative minds an outlet to share their voice and the opportunity to get published.
